2015 Canadian call for submissions – v. 17

send + receive: a festival of sound v.17
Early October 2015 (dates to be announced)

For the 17th edition of send + receive we are seeking submissions from Canadian artists for audio works that explore ideas around Rhythm. We are seeking project proposals that interpret this theme in unique ways with varying approaches.

*Although we accept submissions from artists world-wide throughout the year, we are currently only seeking submissions from Canadian artists to complete our 2015 festival program. If you are not Canadian but would like to submit a proposal to send + receive, please feel free to send proposals at anytime during the year for consideration for future editions and satellite events.

**It is important to note that send + receive is a festival of sound art & experimental music and we are not looking for proposals to present straight ahead beat oriented music or dance music. This theme is intended to draw out innovative and unorthodox interpretations and applications of rhythm and percussion.

Proposals for live performances, public works (presentations/performances), installations, screenings, radio profiles, workshops, artist talks and more are welcomed.

Please download our submission form online.
