s+r and Open City Cinema present a special night of rhythm studies in film and video
As a lead up to this years send + receive v. 17 (Oct 1 – 4), s+r and Open City Cinema have partnered to present an exciting program of films and videos that relate to this years’ festival theme: Rhythm.
The evening will begin with a dynamic program of shorts from local, national and international artists:

- Re-Cycled, dir. Jim Pomeroy (5.5min, 2014)
- Full of Fire, dir. Rhayne Vermette (2min, 2013)
- I Will Always Love You (Edit), dir. Ray Fenwick (1.5min, 2009)
- T.O.U.C.H.I.N.G., dir. Paul Sharits (11min, 1969) [on 16mm]

The event will conclude with the historic film by Ludwig Andús on German avant-garde kraut-rock duo Anima Sound:

s+r screened this film once before in 2010, but we felt it was important to show it again as Anima Sound pioneer Limpe Fuchs will be one of the special guests of honour at this years festival!
