Call for submissions from Canadian artists for v. 16

send + receive: a festival of sound v.16
October 2014 (dates to be announced)

For the 16th edition of send + receive, we are seeking submissions from Canadian artists for audio works that explore ideas around the physicality of sound. This theme is open to interpretation and we welcome project proposals with various approaches that express a kinship with this idea. Resonance, bass, vibrations, actions, physical manifestation of sound, sound generated from the body and the physical world are some examples and we encourage others.

Proposals for live performances, public works (presentations/performances), installations, screenings, radio profiles, workshops, artist talks and more are welcomed.

*Although we accept submissions from artists world-wide throughout the year, we are currently only seeking submissions from CANADIAN artists to complete our 2014 festival program. If you are not Canadian but would like to submit a proposal to send + receive, please feel free to send proposals at anytime during the year for consideration for future editions and satellite events.
